Recently I encountered a special case which probably many of have heard for only few times, Spider cannibalism. Spider cannibalism is a case where female spider kills male spider after mating. She consumes male spider and get the nutrition or energy to raise the offspring (children).

I think this is one of the coolest example of nature where male sacrifice for mating or better kind of offspring.
